Soap Creek Schoolhouse Foundation

The primary purpose of the Soap Creek Schoolhouse Foundation is to maintain the building in ways that are consistent with its architecture and period. Toward this end, the Foundation also aims to increase awareness and appreciation of the history of Soap Creek Valley. The Foundation is registered with the State of Oregon as a non-profit organization.

The Foundation relies on the voluntary efforts of members to help with fund-raising activities, yard work, an occasional open house or community meeting, and maintenance tasks. We hold one fund-raising event at the school each year, usually in early June. In recent years we have had either a fun run or a yard sale. These events are advertised in Corvallis and are well attended by the larger community.

The Foundation also allows Soap Creek residents and other Foundation members to use the building for small meetings of local interest. Inquiries may be made to the Soap Creek Schoolhouse Foundation, 37465 Soap Creek Road, Corvallis OR 97330.
